IRIS was born as an advanced engineering company, with a mission of bringing process optimisation solutions to manufacturing. From our base in Barcelona, and thanks to our multidisciplinary team with analytical, design, production and integration capabilities, we quickly carved a niche as very active R&D and engineering service provider by bridging the gap between University and Industry.

Over the years, IRIS Innovation has successfully delivered on numerous R&D projects in the areas of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT), Photonics, IoT and ICTs, which has allowed us to generate key patents for our business, and contribute to outstanding scientific publications.

We are certified under ISO 9001:2008 and UNE-EN-ISO 166002: Management Systems R&D&i. We are also certified by the local (Catalonian) government as a differential applied technology provider (Tecnio Certification).

Thanks to the expertise we have obtained in R&D projects, we have designed and developed our own devices based on Infrared Spectroscopy, with the mission of integrating novel inline monitoring systems for quality improvement and process standardisation in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, among others.

As such, in 2016, the VISUM brand was born. The Value Proposition for the industry of VISUM is to bring affordable and reliable laboratory analytical capability into manufacturing lines (Lab2Line) and right along the value chain (Lab2Chain) for real-time process monitoring and quality inspection purposes.    

Within this technological framework, and to help digitally transform industries and ensure they remain competitive and relevant in Industry 4.0, in 2017 a new unit was created in IRIS called SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics & Cloud), that is dedicated to the development of cloud and on-premise smart manufacturing solutions capable of exploiting manufacturing data with Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning tools. The Value Proposition of SMAC is to convert data into actionable information for industry and to enable digitised and connected industries and value chains for improved efficiencies, customer orientation, circularity and competitiveness.  

With an ambition to optimise our internal processes and data-drive the management of projects carried out by IRIS, we developed SAPENTA - a new work management solution that has been inspired by our expertise in smart manufacturing. Our vision is to power the next generation of connected and virtualised workplaces, whereby all the internal processes of the company are digitised, from the management of human and material resources to the planning of projects and tasks, reporting, expenses and even travel management, as well as enabling agile communication and collaboration. Sapenta is a unique platform that resolves the fragmentation that companies currently suffer due to the use of diverse, disconnected management tools.

Over the past 12 years, we have evolved and progressed to encompass the IRIS TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS Group- an advanced engineering company at its core, and multidisciplinary by design to allow us to offer tailormade technological solutions that respond to the rapidly changing needs of the market. The company has offered technological services to the crypto sector to develop various softwares and applications.
